Obituary

William Clark "Gable" McKay of Harrisonville Missouri formerly of Plattsburg, Missouri, passed away Tuesday Oct. 19, 2021.  He was born on July 26, 1939 and was raised by John and Nola Williams at Mound City Kansas.  He was a graduate of Mound City High School class of 1957.  He married Jennie Myers on May 17,1958 in Mound City.  They made their home in Kansas City for 9 years while Gable worked for the Ford Plant.   They later moved to Plattsburg Mo., and Gable worked for TWA.  They were blessed five sons, Gable enjoyed sports, hunting and fishing and was very involved with his son's activities such as boy scouts and sports teams.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his bothers Doug, Carl, and Jiggs, one sister Joyce and infant son.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Jennie McKay, his sons Chris (Nancy), Troy (Julia), Eric (Michelle), Jeff (Shelly) and Brian (Angela); 15 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. One sister Billie Faye Cox ( Gerald) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Healing farewell services will be held 10:00AM Friday October 22, 2021 at the Bailey & Cox Family Funeral Service Plattsburg Missouri.  The family will gather with friends at 9:30am Friday at the funeral home.  Graveside service will be held 3PM Friday at the Woodland Cemetery in Mound City Kansas.  The family suggests memorial gifts to the American Heart Association.
