Wayne R Mick 85 of Kearney Missouri died Wednesday Jan. 3, 2024, at a Liberty Missouri healthcare center.  Born on Sept 25, 1938, in Kearney Missouri to Ray Mick and Evelyn Davis Mick McGuire.  Wayne was a graduate of Plattsburg High School class of 1955.  He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force.  Wayne was a big sports fan, he loved to play basketball and was on a semi-pro fast pitch softball team.  He was a member of the American Legion Post 97 of Plattsburg.  He was of the Baptist Faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ray Everett Mick, and his son Korey Ray Mick.

Survivors include his wife Rita Mick of the Home; sons Barry Mick of Liberty Missouri and Kirby Mick of Kearney Missouri; grandchildren Brock and Lily Mick; great grandchildren Jettsen and Richie; two nephews Derek and Darren Carder and a host of family and friends.

Healing farewell services will be held 2:00pm Wednesday, Jan.10, 2024 at the Bailey & Cox Family Funeral Service Plattsburg.  Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery Kearney Missouri.
