Virgil Russell McCubbins 59 of Plattsburg Missouri passed away Saturday Jan. 28, 2023 at a Cameron Missouri hospital.  Born on July 17, 1963, in Kansas City Missouri to Beryl E. and Linda M. (Lawson) Childs.  Virgil was a high school graduate and worked as a Master Carpenter.  Virgil loved his family and friends and the Chiefs.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Madelyn McCubbins.

Survivors include his parents Beryl and Linda Childs; 4 sons Larry, Brian, Skyler and Virgil Hill; 4 brothers Bobby McCubbins Jr., Bobby McCubbins, Timmy McCubbins and Billy McCubbins; sister Santa M. Childs. Eight grandchildren, his two favorite nephews Phillip Childs and Anthony McCubbins; his nephews and nieces Kendall McCubbins, Hannah McCubbins  and Santa Childs.

Healing farewell services will be held 1:00pm Saturday February 4, 2023 at the Bailey & Cox Family  Funeral  Service Plattsburg.  Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery Plattsburg.  The family will gather with friends 6-8pm Friday at the funeral home.  Online guestbook and obituary at www.baileycox.com
