Virgil L. Kelley Jr.

Virgil L. Kelley Jr 72 of Plattsburg Missouri passed away Friday Aug. 21, 2026, at a local health center. Born on December 29, 1953, in Mecca Missouri to Virgil and Jeraldine Kelley. Virgil attended school in Plattsburg and was a truck driver. He attended Davis Temple Church in Plattsburg, Missouri. Virgil loved sweets, classic cars, music, country & western and karate movies. Virgil had his own sense of clothing fashion; he loved hats and boots. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil Kelley, Sr. and Jeraldine.

Survivors include his three children Tameka (Derek) Daugherity of Liberty Missouri; Tiana (Jason) Daugherity of Platte Woods, Missouri and Trevor Kelley of Kansas City, Missouri. His grandchildren Den, Danielle, Nick, Jason Lee, Victoria, Trystan, Roman, Graceyn and Charleigh. Two sisters Jeraldine Daniels of Belton, Missouri; Carol Taylor of Grandview, Missouri; his brother Kenny Kelley of Plattsburg, Missouri. 10 great grandchildren and a special niece Twyla Kelly and several nephews, nieces relatives and friends.

Memorial service will be held 1;00 PM Saturday August 29, 2026, at the Davis Temple Church, Plattsburg Missouri. Inurnment will be in the Mount Washington Cemetery Plattsburg. The family will gather with friends one hour prior to the service at the church. The family suggests memorial gifts to the Center for the blind and vision impaired.
