Richard C. "Dick" James Jr. 70 of Plattsburg Missouri died Tuesday October 18, 2022, at a Liberty Missouri hospital.  Born on December 8, 1951, in Eldorado Kansas to Richard C. and Betty J. (McGehee) James Sr.  Dick was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and was self employed as a handy man.  He was a member of the Bethany Christian Church just north of Plattsburg.

On June 30, 1995, he married the former Sherri Baker, she preceded him in death on April 1, 2022.  He was also preceded in death by his parents, son Jason Murphy.

Survivors include his children, Daughter Christine (Kevin) Lopeman; sons, Brian James and  Bryan (Stephanie) Murphy of Auxvasse Missouri; brother Robert (Debbie) James of Emporia Kansas; sisters Carla James of Gladstone, MO., and Dolly (Robert) Hutchings of Washington State; brother John (Louise) James of Anacortes Washington;  grandchildren Cassidy and Katlynn Murphy; Cheyanne Dionne Lopeman Sanchez and her husband Jason; Joshua Richard Randolph Lopeman and David Michael Samuel Lopeman
