Patricia A. Cox 87 of Plattsburg Missouri died Monday Feb. 12, 2018 at a local healthcare center. Born on May 27, 1930 in St. Joseph Missouri, to Fountain and Cleo (Wheeler) Parker. She was a graduate of Central High School St Joseph MO., class of 1947 and later graduated from Open Bible Institute Des Moines Iowa. She was a member of the Broadway United Methodist Church Plattsburg; PEO Chapter DF, and former Board member of Oakridge of Plattsburg.
On April 5, 1959 she married Phllips E. Cox and together they owned the Cox Funeral Home in Plattsburg. Pat enjoyed the activities of her children and grandchildren. She had a great love for music; it was a very important part of her life.
She was preceded in death by her Husband Phillips E. Cox; mother Cleo Wheeler Parker; Father and Step Mother Fountain and Mary Parker; Granddaughter Anne Marie Parrilla.
Survivors include her daughters Candace Miller of Kansas City MO; Christy (David) Maggi of Clinton Missouri; grandchildren Matt (Kirsten) Maggi; Zac (Susan) Maggi; Frankie Parrilla; Sam Parrilla and Allison Miller. Great grandchildren Luc, Liam, and Grace. Sister Donna Thomas; 3 brothers Steve (Nancy) Parker; Terry (JoAnn) Parker and Bill (Mary) Parker, and numerous nephews and nieces.
Healing farewell services will be held 10:00AM Thursday Feb. 15, 2018 at the Broadway United Methodist Church Plattsburg. Interment will be in the Green Lawn Cemetery Plattsburg. The family will gather with friends 6-8pm Wednesday Feb. 14, 2018 at the funeral home. The family suggests memorial gifts to Oakridge Nursing Home or to the Church.
