Obituary

Naomi Verenelle White passed away May 4, 2018, at the age of 90. She was born on December 4, 1927 to Chester Arthur McQuate and Grace Lee McQuate in Osborn, Missouri. Naomi was the wife of Manetha Franklin White for 66 years, until Frank's passing in 2013.

Naomi graduated from Cameron High School and earned both undergraduate and graduate degrees from Northwest Missouri State College. Mrs. White was dedicated to teaching and counseling students of all grades and ages. Her profession spanned in excess of 50 years. She educated and touched the lives of many students, namely those within the areas of English, Speech and Drama, Yearbook, and Guidance Counseling at Plattsburg High School. Naomi also worked with students at various grade levels while serving as a substitute teacher post–retirement. Naomi was an active member within several professional, church, and community organizations.

Naomi is survived by four children; Sonja Pellerin (Jon), Yana Stoll (Chet), Lesa Murphy (Ronnie), Eric White (Diane), eleven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, parents, brother, Byron Joseph McQuate, and sister, Elizabeth McQuate Christopher, Naomi was preceded in death by her grandson, Ryan Stoll.

Visitation and Funeral Services will be held at Broadway United Methodist Church, in Plattsburg. Visitation will be Friday May 11, 6:00-8:00pm. Funeral Services will be Saturday May 12, at 10:00am.
