Michael Edgar Wiley, 85, of Kansas City Missouri died Monday March 15, 2021 at a North Kansas City Hospital.

Michael was born at home on July 29,1935 in Cameron Missouri to Donald Lee and Sarah Mildred (Lawlor) Wiley.  On June 23, 1962 he married Miss Sharon Lee Chastain, daughter of Mills and Kathryn Chastain of Plattsburg Missouri.  As a youth Michael lived with his Lawlor relatives on a farm north of Plattsburg.  His early education was at Rockhurst High School followed by Rockhurst University and the University of Missouri Columbia.

Mr. Wiley retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in 1994 after 37 years of service.

He is survived by his wife Sharon; three sons Michael Sean and his wife Mary Margaret, Patrick Shepherd and his wife Maria Dee, Brendan Mills and his wife Jennifer Joann; four grandchildren Megan Nicole, Michael Aidan, Jacob Michael, Grace Anne Wiley; a sister Kathleen Armilio; sister-in-law, Maria Chastain-Brand, brother-in-law, John Chastain.

Healing farewell service will be held 1:30PM Friday March 19, 2021 at the Bailey & Cox Funeral Home Plattsburg Missouri.
