Mary Ellen Mallen 85 of Plattsburg Missouri died Saturday July 21, 2018 at a St Joseph Missouri Healthcare center. Born on Nov. 3, 1932 in Plattsburg, MO., to Thomas J. and Georgia Ann (Golden) Mallen.
She was a graduate of Plattsburg High School class of 1949 and a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, where she served on the Church Council and Altar Society. Mary Ellen worked four years in the Clinton County Court House and later retired as an Industrial Engineer from Hallmark Cards after 45 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Richard Mallen, sister Nadine Owens.
Survivors include her sister in law Della Mallen of Plattsburg MO; her nieces and nephews; Lisa (Rick) Goin; John Bart (Dana) Owens; Tom (Rachel) Mallen; Patrick (Laneah) Mallen; Teresa (Scott) Reed and several great nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM Thursday July 26, 2018 at St. Ann's Catholic Church Plattsburg. A Parish Rosary will be recited at 9:30 AM., with visitation following until service time. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery Plattsburg.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Church or to Calvary Cemetery.
