Mark L. Alvord, 64, of Plattsburg, MO died Wednesday, January 13, 2022, at North Kansas City Hospital.  Born in Kansas City, MO to Harry and Evelyn Alvord.  He was a high school graduate and worked as a warehouseman for Toyota until his retirement, after 37 years at Toyota.  Mark was a Christian and a member of the Plattsburg Country Club where he loved to play golf.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his fiancé Terri Derendinger of the home; two sons Daniel and Gemma Alvord of Lewisburg, PA, and Steven and Michelle Alvord of Meriden, KS; his grandchildren Cian and Zain; the mother of his children Jessica Alvord; brothers Robert and Dixie Alvord, Randy and Linda Alvord; sisters Marcia Miller and Lynn Dykes, and several nieces and nephews.

Healing farewell services will be held 11:30 am, Saturday, January 22, 2022, at the First Christian Church of Plattsburg, MO.  Interment will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Plattsburg, MO.  Prior to the service, the family will gather with friends at the church for a visitation at 10:00 to 11:30 am, Saturday.  The family suggests memorial gifts to St. Judes Children's Research Hospital.  Arrangements Bailey & Cox Family Funeral Service, Plattsburg, Missouri.  Online obituary and guestbook at www.baileycox.com
