M. Charlene Welsh Gipson 85 of Plattsburg Missouri died Sunday September 8, 2019 at her residence. Born on April 17, 1934 in Paradise Missouri to Charles E. and Allena E. (Pierson) Welsh. Charlene was a graduate of Plattsburg High School class of 1952. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Plattsburg where she served as Church Treasurer. She retired as a Clinton County Deputy Sheriff after many years of service. Charlene loved her family and attended many if not all of their sporting events. Some of the things she loved to do was reading, playing cards, sewing, gardening, cooking, shopping and quilting.
On Dec 23,1951 she married Arthur Lee Gipson who preceded her in death on Aug. 1, 2016. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son Arthur Welsh Gipson; grandson Jared Gudde; great grand -daughter Addison Gudde and two brothers.
Survivors her daughter Beth (Benton) Gudde of Plattsburg; son David Gipson of Plattsburg; grandsons Caleb (Jayme) Gudde of Plattsburg; Aaron (Megan) Gudde of Gower; Brock (Evan) Gipson of Plattsburg and Jake Gipson of Plattsburg. Her great grandchildren Keegan, Mollie, Kemper, Remington, Emerson, Gipson, Macklynn and Baker.
Healing farewell services will be held 11:00am Wednesday Sept. 11, 2019 at the First Baptist church of Plattsburg. Interment will be in the Green Lawn Cemetery Plattsburg. The Family will gather with friends Tuesday Sept. 10, 2019 from 6-8pm at the church. The family suggests memorial gifts to the church. Online guestbook and obituary at www,baileycox.com
