Jo Ann Downey 85 of Plattsburg Missouri died Sunday July 29, 2018 at a local health care facility. Born on Dec 25, 1932 in Kansas City Mo., to Charles and Florence (Baber) Cavender. She was a graduate of Lathrop High School. Jo Ann worked as a billing clerk for the Zep Company and retired after 32 years of service, she was a member of the St Ann's Catholic Church Plattsburg.
On Sept 29, 1956 she married Charles Downey Jr., he preceded her in death on Jan. 24, 2018. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her sister Juanita Davis.
Survivors include two sisters Helen Downing of Holt Missouri and Carolyn Buck of Lawson Missouri and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00am Thursday Aug. 2, 2018 at the St Ann's Catholic Church Plattsburg. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery Plattsburg. The Family will gather with friends one hour prior to the service at the church. The family suggests memorial gifts to the St Luke's Hospice.
