James Lyle Barnett 65 of Holt Missouri died Friday Jan.22, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.  Born on Sept. 4, 1955 in Smithville Missouri to Leon W. and Gertrude F. (Grafton) Barnett.  James was a graduate of Plattsburg High School class of 1973.  He also received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.  James just retired from the Federal Aviation Administration after many years of service.  He was a member of the Avodah Home Church.  James loved to hunt and fish and work outside.  He was fond of Hallmark movies and westerns.  James loved the Lord, and his family and would share the Gospel to everyone that would listen. He was preceded in death by his father.

On July 31, 1982 he married Margaret A. Little, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include 7children Merry (Jamie) Ohler; Joshua (Brittany) Barnett both of Liberty, MO; Annah (Nick) Sybouts of KCMO; Ryan (Hannah) Barnett of Gladstone, MO; Reagan Barnett of the home; Nathan (Lauren) Barnett of Parkville, MO; Trey Barnett of the home. Nine grandchildren, His mother Gertrude Barnett of Plattsburg MO; two sisters, Teresa Barnett of Plattsburg MO; Frances Blodgett of St Joseph MO; one brother Thomas Barnett of Springfield MO.
