Glen Garton

Glen Garton 93 of Plattsburg Missouri died Sunday May 24, 2026, at a local healthcare center. Born On July 22, 1932, in Miller, Missouri to Taylor and Eva Garton. Glen was a high school graduate and was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He retired from Armco Steel after many years of service. Glen was an avid golfer, loved to fish and eat sweets! He was also the biggest fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals. Glen loved spending time with his family, and he was the family jokester. On December 23, 1955, he married Mary Ann and they shared 70 years of marriage together.

Glen was preceded in death by his parents, two grandchildren Renee Huff, Mackintyre Garton and 8 siblings, one of which was his twin brother Wren.

Survivors include his wife Mary Ann Garton of the home; his sons Ray (Rhonda) Garton of Kidder Missouri; Tom (Teresa) Garton of Trimble Missouri; Glen (Stacey) Garton of Lathrop Missouri; Michael (Carolina) Garton of Sun City Arizona. 10 Grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren; his brother John Garton and sister Joyce Powell.

Healing farewell services will be held 1:00PM Monday June 1, 2026, at the Bailey & Cox Family Funeral Service Plattsburg Missouri. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery Plattsburg Missouri. The Family will gather with friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The family suggests memorial gifts to the American Cancer Society.
