Everett A. (Sonny) Hammontree 79 of Plattsburg Missouri died Sunday March 18, 2018 at Cameron Regional Hospital, Cameron Missouri. Born on Feb. 3, 1939 in Cameron Missouri to Ernest A. and Emeline (Jones) Hammontree. Sonny and Marie (Arnold) married on Aug. 6, 1961 at the first Baptist Church in Plattsburg Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Sammie D. Hammontree and Sister Margaret Baker.
He worked on a farm for the Kincaid Brothers, Clinton County Road Dist., Special Road Dist. and the Missouri State Hwy Dept., where he retired from in 1996. He enjoyed his retirement.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years and two children daughter Nancy Morse Oregon Missouri and a son Don Hammontree of Mt. Sterling Illinois. Brothers John Hammontree and Richard (Susan) Hammontree; Sisters Eva Hammontree and Tina Keough; two grandchildren Shelby Morse and John Morse V.
Healing farewell service will be held 2:00PM Wednesday at the Bailey & Cox Funeral Home Plattsburg. The family will gather with friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
