Carole Torre, 87, of Kansas City, MO, passed away Friday July 29, 2022, at New Mark Care Center.  Carole was a former resident of Trenton, MO; Kirksville, MO; Chillicothe, MO; Lincoln, NE; Tripoli, Libya; Cape Cod, MA; Morfelden, Germany; and Poquoson, VA.

At the time of her death, Carole was surrounded by love, laughter, and family.  In the hours before her passing, she shared stories and caught up on everyone's news then swiftly and peacefully left this world.  She was born on February 1, 1935, in Trenton, MO, to James M. and Florence A. (Pickens) Webster.  On April 16, 1955, she married Peter A. Torre who preceded her in death after 46 years of marriage.

Carole was a mom, a grandma, a wife, a military spouse of 23 years, a farmer, a gardener, a seamstress, a quilter, a chef, a talented equestrian, a college student, a teacher, a caretaker, a traveler, and member of St. Ann Catholic Church.  She was a second mother to many.  If you walked in the door, hungry or not, you were given food.  She loved her family, her cats, and having coffee at her kitchen table with her friend Judy McKowen.

Carole was preceded in death by her parents, her grandson, Jason Torre, and her beloved horse, Rooster.  She is survived by her five children, Jennie Torre of Kansas City, MO, John Torre of Chillicothe, MO, Michael Torre and his wife Kris of Plattsburg, MO, Stephen Torre and his wife Renae Price of Kansas City, MO, and Mary Torre of Houston, TX; her six grandchildren, Brandi, Nathan, Tanner, Rachel, Dominic, and Rose; her eight great-grandchildren; her brother, Jim Webster, and sister, Helen Hull.

Memorial Mass will be held 11:00AM, Wednesday August 10, 2022, at the St. Ann Catholic Church in Plattsburg, MO.  Inurnment will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Plattsburg, MO.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
