Carissa Murr 71 of Plattsburg MO, was  born on May 9, 1952, and departed from us on September 17, 2023, was a shining example of selflessness, compassion, and  generosity.

Carissa is survived by her daughters, Yolanda and Leyna, her granddaughter, Austyn, and her sisters, Lisa and Sharon.

Carissa was free spirited and kind. She was a loving, caring mother and her remarkable capacity for caring extended beyond her family circle. She went out of her way to help those in need. Her kindness was a guiding light in the lives of her friends, acquaintances, and even strangers.  Her love for animals and music was a testament to her nurturing spirit. Carissa opened her heart and home to countless animals over the years, providing them with love, care, and shelter. She believed that every living being deserved compassion and made it her mission to offer it. Music was also Carissa's passion, a source of solace, and a way to connect with others.  Throughout her life, she consistently put the needs of others before her own.

Carissa will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn in Glendale, California, a place of serenity and natural beauty that mirrors her appreciation for the simple joys of life.

Carissa Murr's enduring spirit of selflessness, her love for music, her devotion to her family, and her compassion for all living beings will forever be remembered. May she find eternal peace, surrounded by the love and kindness she so freely gave to others.
