Bob Berryman 73 of Kansas City Formally of Plattsburg died Saturday Sept 8, 2018 at his residence.
Bob was born on his farm between Plattsburg and Stewartsville on April 4, 1945. His family moved to Plattsburg where he attended school and lettered in football, baseball, and track. Bob graduated in 1963 from Plattsburg High School and enrolled at the University of Missouri in Columbia. Prior to graduating, he joined the United States Marine Corp. Called to active duty, Bob was sent to Officer Candidate School OCS and completed basic training in Quantico, Virginia. He graduated as a 2nd Lieutenant and served as a Communications Officer in Vietnam. Upon returning home Bob was discharged from active duty but remained in the service. He left the military with the rank of Captain.
Bob returned to school where he pursued a Master's degree in Psychology. Bob worked at Children's Mercy Hospital and the Tri-County Mental Health Center.
Bob began his private practice in 1992 and enjoyed his many years of service to the Northland community.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents Beulah and Glyndon, his sisters Arline and Claudine, and the love of his life for 23 years his wife Zina Kasparova. Bob's happiest times were spent with Zina. Survivors include his 2 daughters Sabina and Tatyana, 5 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Healing farewell graveside service will be held 11:30am Thursday Sept 13, 2018 at the Green Lawn Cemetery Plattsburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the funeral home.
