Almira Darlene Jacoby 87 of Liberty Missouri formally of Holt Mo., died Thursday Sept.5, 2019 at a Liberty Missouri hospital. Born on Dec. 14, 1931 in Kansas City Missouri to Llwellyn Reece and Zulia Mable (Strader) Sherman. She was a high school graduate and attended college. She was a member of the Holt United Methodist Church, Holt Missouri where she played the piano and organ for services and worked in the church's office. Almira was a member of the Eastern Star, den mother for her sons' cub scout pack, worked as secretary to Dr. Larry Kanning DDS in Lawson, volunteered for the food pantry and Mary's Circle.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 67 years William Royce "Jake" Jacoby in Dec 4, 2018. Also preceding her in death are her parents, son Edward Lee Jacoby in 1988; six brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include her son Steven Royce Jacoby of Tulsa OK; her daughter Angie (Joe) Bridges of Liberty MO; 5 grandchildren Shannon Muskopt of Tulsa, Stephanie Ihler of Las Vagas, Jeramy Jacoby of Grand Rapids, Mike Bridges of Liberty and Missy Bridges of Kansas City. Three great grand-children Christian, Olivia and Brady.
